Beholding The Gospel Together

It’s amazing to behold all the ways Jesus is transforming people in the life of Doxa Church, but specifically Doxa Communities. By God’s grace, in September we were able to plant two Doxa Communities, and hopes of planting several more in January 2019.

Doxa Communities serve as a disciple-making environment to accomplish our mission to help people behold, obey, and be transformed by the Gospel of Jesus. Our Doxa Communities aren’t merely just small groups to foster relationships, champion social justice initiatives, or theological clubs, instead they are communities of people who are covenanting together to live as families of disciples on mission in Clay County.

Crossing To Christ

I’m thrilled about our Doxa Communities digging into the resource, Crossing To Christ. Crossing To Christ will serve to pour a solid foundation for us to understand what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. The book seeks to answer two valuable question every Christian should be comforted by and confident in: Who is God? and Who am I? Indeed, answering these questions will transform us (Romans 12:2), but there is one more important to know…

Beholding The Gospel Together

You will BEHOLD THE GOSPEL TOGETHER. This is the exquisiteness of Christianity. God calls a PEOPLE to himself to BEHOLD, not merely a person. I’m not minimizing the fact all of us should behold the Gospel in our individual lives, but there is indeed something beautiful and glorious about BEHOLDING TOGETHER. We see this truth really magnificently in Hebrews 10:22-25,

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Let us behold the Gospel together so that we might increasingly become more and more like Jesus.

Soli Deo Gloria,

Pastor Jeth
